Frequently Asked Questions
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
This tool works best with text-based PDFs (created from Word, Google Docs, etc.). Scanned/image-only PDFs will result in empty or incomplete documents since they don't contain extractable text layers. For scanned PDFs, you would need an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) tool.
What formatting is preserved?
The converter preserves paragraph structure, line breaks, and can detect headings (ALL CAPS lines). However, complex formatting like tables, columns, fonts, colors, and images are not transferred to the Word document. The focus is on extracting the text content.
Is there a page limit?
There is no artificial page limit. However, very large PDFs (hundreds of pages) may take longer to process and depend on your device's memory and processing power.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The file never leaves your device, is never uploaded to any server, and is automatically cleared from memory when you close the page.
